SACRED HEART ROBOTICS
A community of students, educators, and thinkers with a common goal; exploring new concepts in STEM and instilling a lifelong love of learning.
Based out of Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton, Sacred Heart Robotics is home to over 70 students from grades 7-12, working together in competitions, tournaments, and other tech projects.
Above all, we seek to teach our students the skills and competencies they will need in the real world, while also building a positive community that encourages students to pursue what they are passionate about.
METHOD
Robotics experiences for the real world
The Sacred Heart Robotics program is built around practicality; introducing students to real-world engineering and life skills to prepare them for future STEM-related careers. To accomplish this, students participate in FIRST's two higher-level robotics competitions, building their skills in a fun, competitive environment.
STUDENT-LED LEARNING
One of the things that makes Sacred Heart Robotics unique is its "by students, for students" approach. To build effective leaders, responsibility for all aspects of the program, including educating the next generation of engineers, is placed in student hands. Every year, upperclassmen take on the role of teachers and mentors by passing their skills on to younger students.

GIVING BACK
A critical part of the Sacred Heart ethos is service; as beneficiaries of a robust STEM education, SHR students feel a responsibility to give back to their community through outreach and service. Both in-person and virtually, students from all grades come together to share their STEM experience with others in our community.
